WEDDING DAY CONGRATULATIONS

Wedding card today and this one is for a wedding we are going to in August who is a friend of our daughter's from university. It is certainly the season for wedding as I will be making another one for my son who is also going to a wedding of a university friend but I will probably go for a different colour scheme.

The design was inspired by the sketch over at  waltzingmouse sketch challenge 103 .

The papers are from the DCWV Citrus Stack and loved these shades of mint and lime and then just adding two other colours which was yellow for the flowers and brown for the inking.

Items used for this card:

DCWV Citrus Stack
Versafine Ink - Vintage Sepia
Waltzingmouse Stamps - Compact Sentiments - Say It Loud
Spellbinder Dies - Foliage - Rose Creations - Labels Fifteen - Labels Four - Bitty Blossoms
fun foam - ribbon - glitter - trinkets - bling

Take care and enjoy the rest of your day

THE OLYMPIC TORCH ARRIVES IN BURY

No crafting today as I have been watching the Olympic Torch Relay through Bury and wanted to share some pictures with you and guess what the rain stayed away.
Yes my son took this picture of me leaning out of the window at my daughter's apartment.

The Fire Station across the road brought out their fire engines.

And here is the Olympic Torch.
The lad in the middle of this picture wearing a green jumper is my son with his friends heading back home.

THINKING ABOUT YOU

Hello again on this very wet morning and it looks like it could be here for the weekend which is a shame as Bury is getting ready to receive the Olympic Torch tomorrow.Tonight I am staying at my daughter's so that tomorrow we can watch the torch pass by right below her apartment so we will get a really good view and hopefully get a picture so that I can show you it next time.

Todat my card was inspired by the sketch over at waltzing mouse sketch challenge and the colours from colour q.

Thought I would try something a bit different and use some acetate on the front of the card and give the effect of the white butterfly flying in the air. You will notice that once again I have used one of my favourite flowers in fun foam as well as the butterflies.

craft items used :
Spellbinders - Tags Five, Beaded Ovals, Grand Squares
Cheery Lynn - Exotic Butterflies Small
Waltzingmouse - Fancy Phrases, Pic-nic Patterns
Color Box Pad - Coral, Turquoise
Hobbycraft Ink Pad - Yellow, Light Blue
acetate, fun foam and ribbon

Well off  now to pack a bag and fingers crossed that for a couple of hours tomorrow while the Olympic Torch is in our town that the rain stays away.Enjoy your weekend where ever you are and hope your weather is better than ours.

HOLD CHRISTMAS in your HEART

It's time again for the June Blog Party over at waltzingmouse.blogspot.co.uk and the inspiration for this blog is this photo.

For my card I have taken inspiration from the colours and the panels on the wall and created this Christmas Card. The sentiment I used made me include some heart shapes using Spellbinder Dies and the stamping using Waltzingmouse stamps.

This is my first time entering WMS Party Blog as last time I missed the time slot so this time I had it marked down in my diary so as not to forget again.

Believe it or not the sun is shining so off to do a bit more gardening so take care until the next time.

Waltzingmouse stamp set - Vintage Labels 4
Cheery Lynn die - Exotic Butterflies Small 2

WELCOME WITH LOTS OF FLOWERS

This morning I spent doing some hedge trimming in the garden will the sun was shining as the weather forecast said it would be rain by this afternoon and sure enough my cue to go back to my craft room and relax.

Over at polka doodle challenge week 23 is Lots Of Flowers which is not very hard for me as I love using flowers as embellishments and the more the better. Have just bought their new CD "Picknix" collection one and it has some fabulous images on it including this adorable bird house which I just had to use for this challenge.

Coloured the image in using my Promarkers and mounted it onto some blue card. I gave myself a bit of a challenge to stick to 3 colours for this card so as not to get carried away with colour as this image has so many details and even though I say so myself I think it works quite well for this picture.

Do enjoy the rest of your day and remember only 1 more day till the weekend.

A DIAMOND QUEEN

Today is the start of a long weekend for us in the UK as we celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and this morning I put up the bunting in preparation for the celebrations.

I was one of the lucky ones to get an invite to a party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate her Golden Jubilee in 2002 and I took my daughter with me .We were taken through the palace and out to the gardens at the back where we enjoyed a picnic on the lawn before watching the concert later in the evening and we had the most fantastic time and something we will always remember as the day we were invited to Buckingham Palace.

My card is titled for a diamond Queen which she is and I will post it on to the Queen later although I am sure she will have been sent thousands of cards for the occasion.

This card I have entered into a challenge over at
less is more 70 - red, white and blue.
The stamp is from Indigoblu which I stamped in "Color Box" cerulean and "Hobbycraft" xmas red.
I added a red ribbon around the card placing it through the centre of the flag and added a sentiment at the boottom with a clear gem over the i in diamond.
I would like to send my best wishes to the Queen and hope she enjoys her weekend.
Take care everyone and lets hope it stays dry for this Bank Holiday.
